New BirdID field training course starts today in Bulgaria. The course is organised by the Norwegian university HiNT and aims at providing field training on Western Palearctic bird identification.
Keen students from Norway, UK and Bulgaria will travel around the great variety of habitats searching for local birds.
The first day of the course started with a few new birds for most of the participants. Some of the highlights for the day were Woodchat Shrike, Stock Dove, Grey Partridge and Marsh Harrier.
We shall be posting daily updates from the trip so stay tuned.
